Rocky Mount may not seem like much at first glance, but ride
around, and you'll find something worth doing! Whether you're into bowling,
skating, hitting the batting cages, riding go-carts, or just having a
night out with friends, you'll find it here. Just a quick ride to the
lake and you'll find putt-putt, top-notch golf courses, and all kinds
of boat and fishing rentals. Just north, in Roanoke, you'll find the
Center in the Square museum, the Roanoke Civic Center, and various art
museums, and venues throughout. Look through our calendar

Mount has something for everyone. We take pride in our First
Thursday's concerts at the Farmer's Market downtown in the summertime.
Many musicians are brought up here beneath our mountains, and often
you can catch their sounds at various restaurants or venues around
town. Our annual parades and festivals bring smiles and fill the air
with laughter. And don't forget Rocky Mount is located just west of
the largest man made lake around. Fishing tournaments, poker runs, and
all kinds of music and night life can be found just a few minutes away
at Smith Mountain Lake.
